Walk for a Healthy Community

The Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community is an annual fundraising walk and is part of the Highmark Bright Blue Futures charitable giving and community involvement program that focuses on improving equitable access to care, quality of life, and economic resilience in the communities we serve.

The primary goal of the walk is to help participating organizations raise money for their individual missions. One hundred percent of the funds raised through this event go directly back to the participating organizations, as Highmark underwrites all the associated costs of the event.

In 2024, we will host on-site walks in the following markets: Erie, Harrisburg, Laurel Highlands (Altoona/Johnstown), Lehigh Valley (Allentown/Easton), Pittsburgh, and Wilmington, Delaware.

Through 2023, the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community events have raised more than $18.4 million for more than 550 health and human service nonprofit organizations.

To register to walk and/or donate to a 2024 participating nonprofit, navigate to the Locations & Registration tab, select your region, select the nonprofit you wish to support, and then select how you want to support the nonprofit. You may register as an individual walker, by forming a team, by joining an existing team, and/or by donating.
