Frequently asked questions

All Regions (except Laurel Highlands/Altoona):

  • 7:45 AM: Onsite registration opens (for unregistered walkers/donors)
  • 8:30 AM: Opening ceremonies begin
  • 9:00 AM: 5K Walk begins
  • 9:10 AM: 1 Mile Walk begins
  • 11:00 AM: Walk and event activities conclude

Laurel Highlands/Altoona:

  • 10:15 AM: Onsite registration opens (for unregistered walkers/donors)
  • 10:45 AM: Opening ceremonies begin
  • 11:00 AM: 5K & 1 Mile Walk begins
  • 1:00 PM: Walk and event activities conclude

Share your Highmark Walk photos and stories on the Highmark Walk Facebook page! Tag the page and use #highmarkwalk. Remember to click "going" on your region's Facebook event and share it with your network.

Visit the "Locations & Registration" tab in the navigation bar. Select your region to view participating organizations.

You can either:

  • Register as a walker under your chosen nonprofit (as an individual or join a team) and then make your donation.
  • Donate to an existing walker/team under your chosen nonprofit.

One hundred percent of your donation directly supports the mission of your selected charity. Highmark Inc. covers all event expenses.

All donations (online and offline) must be received by the participating organizations by June 30, 2025. Offline donations should be mailed or delivered directly to your chosen organization in a clearly marked envelope. Make checks payable to your selected organization, not Highmark Inc.

Please make all checks payable to your selected charity. Checks made payable to Highmark Inc. will be returned.

To receive a Highmark Walk T-shirt, you must:

  1. Attend and check in at the in-person event.
  2. Be a registered walker.
  3. Have at least $30 in donations credited to your walker account.

T-shirts will be distributed at the Highmark T-shirt table onsite. You must check in with your chosen organization for T-shirt pickup approval.
